Education To Employment Brokerage - EEB

Bridging The Gap Between Education And Employment Opportunities

Tai Tokerau Trades Training is proud to be the service provider for the Government initiative “Education to Employment Brokerage Service (EEB)". The EEB initiative was created to raise the profile and strengthen our secondary school students’ vocational knowledge, to improve the transition process from education to employment.

Our Education to Employment Brokerage (EEB) team are comprised of experienced Vocational Coordinators, who work closely with Tai Tokerau Secondary schools to link them with vocational employment opportunities and training.

Our EEB programme was the first major initiative that Tai Tokerau Trades Training rolled out. We take great pride in the mahi we have done to develop our service, and the success we have already seen.

From challenging beginnings (our first EEB staff members started on the first day of Aotearoa’s national lockdown in March 2020!) we’ve grown, developed, and moved from strength to strength.

Through delivering EEB across Tai Tokerau we increase the opportunities for young people and bridge the gap between industry and education.

We do this by supporting and strengthening connections between local employers, schools, ITO’s and training providers. This way we achieve greater engagement in vocational education, employment, and sustainable careers for young people.

Our EEB team is based in our Whangarei office. They spend most of their time on the road, meeting our community and delivering or facilitating events, workshops and work opportunities.
